This Privacy Policy explains how SimplyToolz ("we", "us") handles information when you use simplytoolz.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Your files are processed locally
All file processing (compression, resizing, conversion, PDF creation, HEIC decoding, etc.) happens entirely inside your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers. We have no access to the content of the files you process, and they are discarded from memory when you close or reload the page.
2. Information we collect
- File content: none. See section 1.
- Usage analytics: we use Yandex Metrica to understand aggregate usage (pages visited, device type, browser, approximate region, referring site). Session-recording ("Webvisor") is disabled.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy.
- Technical logs: our hosting/CDN provider may automatically log technical data (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability.
- Advertising data: when advertising is enabled, advertising partners (e.g. the Yandex Advertising Network) may set cookies and process data to show and measure ads, subject to your consent.
3. Optional cloud import
If you choose to import a file from Google Drive, Dropbox or Yandex Disk, we use the provider's authorization solely to retrieve the specific file you select. We do not store your cloud credentials, and access happens in your browser.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (analytics and advertising cookies); and our legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure and operational). You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the EU GDPR and Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data"), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. 6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies (e.g. theme, language, consent choice) and, with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies. See the Cookie Policy for details and how to control them.
7. Third-party services
We rely on third parties whose own privacy policies apply: Yandex (Metrica and, when enabled, advertising), advertising partners, your chosen cloud-storage providers, and our hosting/CDN provider. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites linked from the Service.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under the age required by your local law (e.g. 13/16). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Data retention
We do not retain your files. Analytics and log data are retained for as long as necessary for the purposes above, in line with the providers' retention settings.
10. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate safeguards apply.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date reflects the latest version; material changes will be reflected on this page.
